1 - Reflection on Previous I Search Experiences (due Mon. April 7)
1. What are some of the previous research projects you have done?
-labyriths
-presidential caucus
-freanch project
-box project (science 6th)
2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you?
-to go and find more information about something you have to or want to know about.
3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
- I didnt like the presidential thing because im not into politics. There are also false information, if you look at the wrong sites. I looked at alot of different sites, and got different answers for some.
2 - Reflection on Webbing Process (due Tuesday, April 8)
1. I think the webbing process did not help me find a topic because: i think it wouldve been just as easy to write my ideas down. I dont think we had to do it in inspiration. I think this just made me dream off and get off hand. I would suggest to just make us write it down from now on. 3 - Why I Chose This Topic and What I Know About My Topic (due Tuesday, April 8)
1. Topic: Tropical Rain Forests
2. Why you chose it: I really learned alot whenever the guy from indochina came to talk to us. I think it is very interresting.
3. What you already know about your topic: They are being destroyed everyday, and animals are losing their habitat. 4 - Pre-Notetaking Activity - in class (due Wednesday, April 9)
1. Brainstorm a list of questions related to your topic.
What effect does the rain forest have on people living nearby?
How does this influence daily life?
how many are left in the world?
What causes them to be destroyed?
What countries are tryng to preserve them?
What resources do they use from it? 5 - Reflections on Pre-Notetaking - for homework (due Wednesday, April 9)
1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?
I think some times it was dificult and sometimes it was easy, b/c most of my questions weren't fat enough. It was hard to find a fat one.
